Life is just one big chapter book.

Life is like a giant chapter book. When one chapter ends, another begins. You can't dwell on the last chapter, just remember and learn from it. You can't predict the next chapter you haven't read it yet. Just turn the page, and start living it.

Smile.

Tonight I got figured out that one of my grades I would be receiving for the semester was on of the lowest I’ve ever received. It was a gut wrenching thing to figure out, as I decided last week that I would try to make the effort to go to vet school again. Although, this grade is frustrating it means nothing. In the past semester I’ve heard nothing but stories of people close to me going through tough times. I too was sick majority of the semester (which didn’t end up being very helpful to my grades). But, in the grand scheme of things, grades mean nothing. I know a lady who was pregnant, her baby was born dead prematurely. Although she still struggles daily, she goes on smiling. I have a fantastic friend who’s mom has brain cancer and is questionable to make it through the holidays.  Yet, he still finds a way to be one of the most positive people I know. I’ve had three people in the last week and a half who have lost a grand parent. They’ve still done what they had to do through these trying times.

The point being, it doesn’t matter what you’re going through. Or the struggles and obstacles you meet along the way. What matters is how you handle it and treat those around you. Always smile. You never know how is having a worse day than you, and who needs that smile more. My little struggles mean nothing. My family is healthy. They will all be around for the holidays. That’s what’s important.
